Final report - RP-C7283 - Runway exercusion - Serious incident

On March 08, 2022, at about 1130H, an ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional/ATR 72-212A type of aircraft with Registry Number RP-C7283 had a runway side excursion incident at Runway 24 in Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Philippines. A Visual Meteorological Condition (VMC) prevailed at the time of the incident. The cause of the occurrence was attributed to the pilot's decision to continue to land after a bounced landing on the runway, that resulted in a runway side excursion.
