Customer Support for Safety

ATR provided an update on the customer support trends including the important contribution we make throught the reporting and feedback loop

Q&A:

  • How do ATR instruct operators on the reporting process?

Instructions are provided through the dedicated page in Customer Support Portal (ATRactive) and in the Service letters ATR42-05-5002 and ATR72-05-6001.

  • The FOC conditions for static inverters retrofit are over. Do you plan to extend the FOC period?

FOC condition was in place from December 2017 to June 2021 and then reactivated during six months from April 2023 to September 2023. If you still have units to be retrofitted, contact ATR Supplier Support Management and we will help you getting the best possible conditions.

  • Where do you stand with the pax door springs issue?

The production conformity has been restored for springs POST manufacturing batch number 003699/19 and all ATR72 delivered from MSN 1643 and ATR42 from MSN 1602 onwards are fitted with these springs. Please refer to TPS 52-11-003.

  • We are facing issues with TOINHIBIT, same was reported, we are waiting for ATR support.

The ‘TO INHIB’ flag may not be shown on the bottom part of EWD because of a technical issue (i.e. PL switch inoperative) or because RCL button is pressed during the procedure. or because RCL button is pressed during the procedure. An action is ongoing in ATR to define the root cause for the reported events.

  • Do you get notifications from Local CAA’s for events on ATR aircraft?

ATR is getting events notifications from the operators and from the EASA. EASA may get notifications of events on ATR fleet from the local authorities. There are few exceptions where the local CAA is notifying ATR about significant events.

  • Do you have interaction with systems such as Centrik by trust flight that would ease the sharing of occurrence reports? Similar to the way MORs are filed.

ATR doesn’t develop a direct link with TrustFlight products for events notifications sharing. Nevertheless, to ease the sharing process, some operators are including ATR address upon the list of external contacts to whom they are sharing the events notifications (i.e. local CAA or other TC holders).

  • There are some e brochure’s published by ATR, is it possible to get them in PDF format? If available can be shared with all the pilots.

The e-brochures are interactive and are available in ATRactive. Upon request, the ATR Flight Operations Support team can prepare a standalone html package to be used on local computers and tablets not connected to ATRactive.
