The new std4 will be only software update, as previous standard or it will be hardware update?

There are no hardware changes but only wiring changes required.
Is there any difference from pilot point of view using the XT engines?

No difference from the flight crew point of view (except a lower fuel burn!).
What will be the main changes applied to ATR42 on STOL version?

Rudder modifications for additional control at low speeds, Fuselage & Vertical fin reinforcements, Take-off with Flap 25 for increased lift (reduce take-off distance), Spoilers as lift dumpers (reduce landing distance), Increased take-off thrust with higher rating and engine flexibility (reduce take-off distance), with associated avionics developments.
Can you explain what you mean by DEMO FLIGHT?

A demo flight is a flight to demonstrate proper aircraft functioning before a handover, or a sale, between parties.
When reference is made to “qualified” pilots to perform maintenance check flight, what do you mean by qualified, are there any restrictions by ATR?

It means, according to EASA regulation, pilots who followed a dedicated training, ground lessons and FFS and flight, who need to be recognize by their own regulation as “MCF pilots”, with a technical profile approved also by them.
