Q&A:

  • Why don’t you issue a new FCOM revision as soon as a new OEB is issued?

Generating a new revision FCOM requires several weeks considering the parallel authoring activity and the generation of the documents for all customers. It does not meet our criteria in term of reactivity to distribute a new OEB. That is why, privileged channels such as AOM or FOIM are preferred. Operators are expected to insert the new OEB in their operating manuals as soon as it is distributed via AOM and FOIM.

  • Regarding OEB 49 temp. Oil LO PR, why the ECL of OIL LO PR is not removed? which may mislead people forget the OEB during critical high workload situation.

ATR has introduced this OEB into the Abnormal procedures, hence the ECL is now updated. Historically prior to incorporation into the FCOM ATR considers both technical and operational solutions to OEBs. This can lead to a delay in the FCOM update. However, you can observe from the OEB presentation the significant reduction in open OEBs.

  • OEB 56,  engaging the TRU before taxi normal, Incase of DUAL DC GEN FAULT,  MEMO item  TRU ON when no GEN RECOVERED, what will be the best practice to follow?

As TRU is already activated during the before taxi procedure, in case of DUAL DC GEN FUALT memo item, it is demanded just to confirm good activation of the TRU.

  • Is it possible to get the XML copy of FCOM and other operational document to assist operator to include the OEB themselves.

Operational documentation is already available under XML format. Please refer to Technical Publications Catalogue or contact techdata-services@atr-aircraft.com.

  • Would it be possible to have soft copy of ECL files instead of CD-ROMs? This will save a lot of time that is being spent on shipping and other process.

There are currently no projects to address this issue.

  • Why don’t we have the ECL versions available to crew. Like the QRH to be able to find the differences?

ATR has forwarded the request to Thales.
